DeVry Financial Aid
Applying For Aid

Private Loan Applications

The Application Process:

  1. Submit your FAFSA on the Web. If you have not submitted your FAFSA, go to fafsa.ed.gov.
  2. Review your estimated financial aid awards with the financial aid officer at your school.
  3. Determine how much you need to borrow in each loan program. Apply for your Federal Stafford Loan first, using the amounts specified on your award letter.
  4. If you have remaining costs that are not covered by the financial aid on your award letter, you can apply for an Private Loan. Remember to borrow wisely, and borrow only what you need for educational expenses.
  5. When you apply for an Private Loan, you will be told right away if your loan is approved. There is a credit check process, so your loan approval, subsequent interest rate and loan fees (if applicable), are based on your credit status.
  6. To apply for a Private Loan, please refer to the chart below. If your loan is not approved, please call your Student Finance Advisor and let them know. They can help you further in trying to find additional financing for school.
